
Writing Center
At the Writing Center, coaches work with students to support them in their writing and to help them improve skills in critical reading, written analysis, organization, use of sources, and grammar and syntax.
What We Offer
The Writing Center offers all undergraduate students free writing support through one-on-one tutoring, both in-person and remote.

We are pleased to provide writing workshops to the greater Newark community. Join us on the second and fourth Thursday of each month for workshops in creative, personal, and civic writing.

In cooperation with the Graduate School-Newark and the MSW program, we provide writing coaching to all School 26 and MSW students. A Writing Coach can support you by providing suggestions and feedback on areas like organization, research, sentence clarity, etc. (Please note that the coach cannot edit or proofread your work.) Writing coaching will begin for the fall semester on Monday, September 28, 2023 and will continue until Friday, December 15, 2023. We will work with you on numerous aspects of your writing, from time management to organization to sentence clarity! We are available to work with you via zoom or email for hour-long appointments.
