The School of Arts & Sciences-Newark participates in the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy 2+4 pharmacy program. Only students who apply directly from high school to the Program are eligible to be considered for admission. Applicants who have completed more than 12.0 credits of college-level coursework or who have been admitted to another academic program of study (even one at the School of Arts & Sciences-Newark) are ineligible to apply. Students who are part of the 2+4 program can find information
Students not specifically admitted to the 2+4 Program who wish to pursue pharmacy would need to apply to the School of Pharmacy as a school-to-school transfer after two or more years of study (click here for details and procedures). However, this approach is very competitive and those applying must take the necessary courses in a timely manner. All science courses must be taken during the school year and not in the summer. There is no guarantee that your application will be successful regardless of GPA.
