Students enrolling in a Newark College of Arts and Sciences or University College-Newark undergraduate degree program who can document that they previously have been awarded a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education are exempt from all core curriculum requirements, as listed in the campus catalog.
Such students, however, are required to:
- complete all of the requirements as outlined under the major programs;
- complete a minimum of one writing intensive course within their major; and
- adhere to the university's residency policy.
