Psychology, Minor

The minor in Psychology gives students a foundation in Psychology that compliments a wide variety of majors and career goals, including social work, medicine, criminal justice, sociology, and education.  The minor is highly customizable to fit students' interests.  Students seeking guidance on course selection should see a faculty member in Psychology for advisement.

minimum of 18 credits for the minor in Psychology is required. The credits must include:

Area Requirements: 6 credits, with 3 credits in two of the following three categories:

  • 830:330 Psych of Learning (3)
  • 830:411 Intro to Cognitive Neuroscience (3)
  • 830:484 Behavioral Neuroscience (3)

 

Tier 2: Social/Personality

  • 830:323 Developmental Psychology (3)

Electives 6 additional elective credits in psychology.  Electives can be any psychology courses of the student's choosing.  Electives may include additional area courses.
