Congratulations to our 2020 inductees! Please click here for the Rutgers-Newark and NJIT induction ritual read by Prof. Richard Sher.
The national headquarters created an online induction video and below is a personal message from President Jacob Blosser honoring your accomplishments.
Dear Phi Alpha Thetans,
It is my distinct pleasure to welcome the new members of the IOTA-KAPPA and ALPHA-NU-ALPHA chapters of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society at Rutgers University-Newark and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. While the current pandemic has altered many aspects of our lives, it can never diminish the pride that your professors, peers, and family members have in your academic success. As President of the nation’s history honor society, I too am very proud of your accomplishments and am delighted to send my sincere congratulations.
Joining Phi Alpha Theta is a significant achievement in your academic career that speaks volumes about your aptitude as a student of history. Indeed, membership in our society demonstrates your ability to ask difficult questions about the past, to search diligently for answers in primary sources, and to share your findings in compelling and convincing prose. Membership in our organization signifies that you are a talented student of history.
Please know that Phi Alpha Theta is delighted to count you as member of our society. We invite you to participate in the full range of opportunities open to members including scholarships, paper prizes, and participation at our regional and national conferences. More information about opportunities open to members can be found on our website: www.phialphatheta.org
I join your professors, classmates, and family members in offering my sincere congratulations on this important academic achievement.
Very Sincerely,
Jacob M. Blosser, Ph.D.
National President, Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society
