Writers At Newark: Wayetu Moore and Phillip B. Williams

Wayetu MooreWayetu Moore is the author of She Would Be King, published by Graywolf Press in 2018. She is the founder of One Moore Book, a non-profit publisher of culturally relevant children's books. Her writing can be found in The Paris Review, Frieze Magazine, Guernica, The Atlantic Magazine and other publications. Moore is an Africana Studies lecturer at City University of New York's John Jay College, and founding faculty member of the Randolph College MFA program. She lives in Brooklyn, NY



Philip WilliamsPhillip B. Williams is a Chicago, IL native and author of Thief in the Interior, winner of the 2017 Kate Tufts Discovery Award and a 2017 Lambda Literary award. He received a 2017 Whiting Award and 2013 Ruth Lilly Fellowship. Williams is the co-editor in chief of the online journal Vinyl and currently teaches at Bennington College.
