The Office of the Chancellor and the SASN Dean's Office will host a celebration of Jan’s life and impact on October 13, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Essex Room of the Paul Robeson Campus Center at RU-N, 350 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Newark, NJ.  All are invited to attend. TRAVEL NOTE: Street Closures

Newark City officials have announced that an upcoming production of a feature film by Warner Brothers will close a number of streets and parking restrictions will be in effect from Saturday, October 13th to Wednesday, October 17th, 2018. According to Newark Police, due to the traffic congestion resulting from this event, we are encouraging those traveling in the area to allow for extra time and to plan alternative routes.


Saturday, October 13th, beginning 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., the following streets will be closed:

• Market Street between Mulberry and Halsey Street

• Beaver Street between Market Street and Clinton Street

Parking will be restricted from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. at:

• Both sides of Beaver Street between Clinton and Market Street

• South of Clinton Street between Broad Street and Beaver Street
