These two tracks—Global Urban Studies and Urban Environment—together form the Joint PhD Program in Urban Systems. This distinctive Joint Ph.D. program, grounded in an interdisciplinary study of social sciences, urban studies, architecture, and urban planning, is uniquely poised to prepare future scholars and practitioners in addressing the rising challenges and opportunities of cities in the U.S. and abroad.
