ACM | Video Production

The Video Production Program offers a broad range of technical and media studies courses that place emphasis on creative production, academic scholarship, and media literacy.

Our program prepares students to be original independent media makers and provides them with diverse production and analytical skills that can be applied to varied careers in an ever-changing media landscape.

The Video Program faculty consists of internationally renowned artists with extensive professional and industry experience in television, film, and video art. Within the major, students specialize in either narrative or documentary production and benefit from small classes where they are offered close guidance and mentorship by teachers who work actively in the field.

Students in the Video Program utilize state of the art professional HD video cameras, location lighting equipment and sound recording equipment. With its home in Express Newark, the video program boasts state-of-the-art editing facilities with Adobe Creative Cloud editing software and Macintosh computer systems as well as a production studio with green screen.

Our students have the opportunity to gain essential practical experience and professional contacts through the internship program which has direct access to a vast range of television, film, and multi-media production companies in northern New Jersey and the New York metropolitan region.
