NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 virus all classes are being taught remotely/online for the Summer session; you can register for classes anywhere in the United States. The dates for Summer Session daytime classes are June 1 - July 18, 2020 and for Saturday classes June 6 - July 25, 2020. A placement test is scheduled for Thursday, May 28th for new students. The Program in American Language Studies has been a part of Rutgers University–Newark for more than 30 years. In this time, we have taught more than 3,000 students from over 70 countries.
