In the Rutgers University-Newark Masters in Fine Arts program, full-time incoming students receive in-state tuition remission and a Chancellor’s Stipend of $15,000 per year. Students are also eligible for Teaching Assistantships and Part-Time Lectureships, teaching Composition or Creative Writing.
Teaching Assistantship: $25,969 (approximate) plus health benefits (not eligible for the Chancellor's Stipend)
Part-Time Lectureship: $5,178 (approximate) per semester (in addition to the $15k Chancellor's Stipend)
Please note that students are expected to pay their tuition fees and health insurance.
Additional funding is available for students who participate as teaching artists as part of City Verses, a collaboration with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
