The Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies is comprised of faculty who are experts in their fields and who bring their knowledge and passion into the classroom. SPS faculty have been awarded grants from the Ford Foundation, Fulbright Foundation, Social Science Research Council, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to support their innovative and ground-breaking research on the literature, cultures and languages of the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking worlds. SPS faculty combine an intense commitment to scholarly research and publication with pedagogical excellence and are dedicated to the intellectual development of our students.
