Exciting opportunities in a number of areas including optics (using lasers of all kinds including ultrashort pulse and UV lasers), computer modeling, plasmas, solid state and thin film science, acoustics, theory, and astronomy for undergraduates and secondary school teachers. $5000 stipend plus round-trip travel expenses, food, and room and board.

Ohio Wesleyan University REU in Physics - Application deadline March

Each participant will work on a research project under the guidance of an experienced Ohio Wesleyan University faculty member in one of the following disciplines: astronomy, computer science, mathematics/statistics, neuroscience, and physics. $5200 stipend (for 10 weeks), free housing, travel funds up to $500 to get to/from the OWU campus, and a $500 food allowance at the beginning of the program. Funds will also be available to help support travel to conferences after the program.
