Grad Retreat 2012

Organizers: Lee Slater (Graduate Director), Kristina Keating and Karina Schäfer
May 15 & 16, 2012

Graduate students convened at the Highlands Environmental Research Institute (HEnRI) in Tuxedo, NY to foster interdisciplinary interaction within the Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecology departments on the Rutgers Newark campus. Challenges and opportunities of being a graduate research student were discussed with opportunities for small group discussions.

Each graduate student presented a poster on their ongoing and/or future research.  This gave the graduate students the opportunity to practice communicating their research in an informal setting also leading to synergistic opportunities for student collaborations. Below is a list of presentations at the retreat.
