Applicants should have undergraduate degrees in chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related fields, and have a minimum of one year of college chemistry, and mathematics through calculus.

Students who lack an appropriate background may be required to take additional courses in consultation with the Graduate Advisor. A minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is normally required for admission. Full-time students, and those applying for financial aid, must submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
We also encourage applications from part-time students. All core courses and most electives are offered at night.
