Advising is an important part of making academic progress. Make sure to see your advisor regularly!
Advising
Please note that if you fall into more than one of the categories below, you may be advised by more than one person.
Biology majors, minors and graduate students
Once you have completed Concepts in Biology and one of the two Foundations of Biology (Cell and Molecular or Ecology and Evolution), you can declare your major with the Biology Department. To declare, please see Ms. Sheronda Martin, in Boyden 206, with a copy of your transcript. Declarations are taken Monday through Thursday, between 8:30 am and 12 pm.
Ms. Martin will assign you to a Biology Faculty member who will serve as your advisor. Their office locations, phone number, and email addresses are posted outside the Biology Department Office (Boyden 206) and online.
