Dean Carrion is the Assistant Dean for Recruitment & Community Engagement within the Office of Academic Services. Dean Carrion initially joined the Office of Academic Services in June 2019 as an academic advisor on the Student Success and Retention Services team. During this time, she gained experience with programming and engaging our first-year students. Dean Carrion has previously assisted the office with the organization of orientation, registration, first-year student workshops, and the Peer Advisor Program. As an Assistant Dean, Dean Carrion oversees recruitment of first-year and transfer students who are joining the School of Arts & Sciences-Newark (SASN) and acts as a liaison between SASN and our community partners. Additionally, Dean Carrion advises current SASN students and assists the Office of Academic Services in planning campus-wide events such as Admitted Student Day, Open House, and SOAR.
