Research Initiatives
The current research interests of He group include developing microwave chemistries for rapid and scalable fabrication of various carbon nanomaterials and their metal hybrids. They explore the unique properties of these nanomaterials with innovative programmed assembly strategies to achieve high performance applications in batteries and catalysts, including single atom catalysts (SACs). More recent efforts from her group is dedicated to in-situ and/or in-operando electrochemical and nanomechanical measurements at single nanoparticle levels with scanning probe microscopy (SPM), installed in an Argon-filled-glove box, where both H2O and O2 levels are below 0.1 ppm.
