Amy J. Higer has been teaching in the Division of Global Affairs since 2004. She teaches Evolution of the Global System, Human Security, American Foreign Policy, and Gender in Global Politics. She holds an MA in International Affairs from The American University, and a Ph.D. in Politics from Brandeis University. Her field of specialization is International Relations, with a focus on institutions of global governance and gender. She has also taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Rutgers—New Brunswick, Rutgers—Camden, CUNY, Seton Hall’s School of Diplomacy and International Affairs, NYU, and Vassar College.
